Testing The Market for A Bag of Dust Just for Fun!
True or false?
According to a GfK concept test, 3% of consumers reported that they “might or might not buy” a new product called “bag of dust.”
Answer: True!
Years ago, GfK actually set out to write a bad concept and test it to prove that consumers really do pay attention and recognize a bad idea when they see it. It was called "bag of dust" for whenever you needed a little dust and didn't want to collect your own. (It started out as bag of dirt but that didn’t sound feasible so we changed it). We got a 0% top box and a 0% top two box. Approximately 3% of respondents said they “might or might not buy” the product.
